About me
J Wang is a film writer/director based in NYC. Her films are often about outsiders finding love and connection in absurd and surreal worlds.
Her films have shown in festivals like Palm Springs International Shortfest, Hollyshorts, and Hawaii International Film Festival. She previously worked as the Director of Video Teacher’s College Columbia University for EPIC Lab, a research lab studying failure. This has prepared her well for a life in film.
She was a 2023 Steve Jobs Archive Fellow. She has a BFA from NYU Tisch for Film & TV and getting her MFA at Columbia University, where she received the Alex Sichel Fellowship.
